Produced in limited editions, each print is beautifully reproduced using state-of-the-art Lightjet laser technology and Fuji Crystal Archive Super-gloss light-sensitive photographic paper.

This high-tech yet traditional approach is the color print choice for many museums, galleries and collectors today. Archival stability is greatly improved over just a few years ago, and color, tonal range and detail must be seen to be truly appreciated. Prints are made by first obtaining a high-resolution Heidelberg Tango drum scan of the original 4x5 transparency (with the exception of a few digital images). All image preparation is done by George on a Macintosh workstation.

George’s intention with his photography is to stylistically, but faithfully, interpret the wonder of the natural world. No digital compositing is ever done by adding to or subtracting from the reality that nature revealed to the camera. In the field, filters are rarely used and only then to compensate for the limitations of film to record certain high-contrast situations or to reduce glare.
